    Does this car seat have anything that jabs the baby in the back? I've seen some reviews about it but I'm curious about your thoughts on comfort since you're clearly an expert lol

    When we install the base, there is less than one inch of movement when we test it. However once we add the seat, it feels like it’s moving back and forth a lot more than an inch when we shake it. Is that normal?

    Such a helpful video. Quick question- I am struggling to figure out how/if I can adjust the buckle. It pokes into my son’s thighs and I just can’t figure out how to adjust it. do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you!!! We were having such a hard time getting it installed correctly. Pulling up the front of the cover and pulling the strap back through was EXACTLY what we needed to do! Just saved us from having to return for no reason! <3

    I think this video is assuming you buy this car seat after infancy? My son is 8 and still quite comfortable in his 4ever with zero regrets. Perhaps this is also because we are a small statured family, plus my parents have their own boosters for him so we rarely take it out of the car. I am 100% thrilled I made a one time purchase that I never have to think about again because I already have too much to think about! I vacuum it out here and there and it still looks like new. I am quite sure this video is true for some, and it’s a great thought process. But what I’m saying is, if you’ve already got a 4ever it might not be an awful fit for you/your family depending on many factors.

    What’s your thoughts/recommendations for general aviation(Cessnas)? Since the seatbelt geometry is different than cars. The backseat shoulder mounting is a lot lower. Sometimes there’s a 4 point harness. Taking the kids flying next month.

    Thanks for your videos, they help a lot! Do you have any recomendations on colour selection for a seat? I'm buying a nuna exec for a second car but I'm not shure if I should take the grey (granite) or black (caviar). I like the looks of the gratine more but I'm concerned it can hold many stains in the long run. Thanks again!

    And where do we put the groceries? What if we have a baby and 2 toddlers? Where do they all go if the groceries go in the top?

    • @safeintheseat
      @safeintheseat 12 днів тому

      A better option than this is to wear the baby in a wrap/carrier. You could get a shopping cart that has 2 seats to fit the toddlers. Alternatively, you could try grocery pickup! It's a great option for caregivers who have multiple children

    So I have a Clek Liing and bought it partially because of the load leg. But we drive a van with stow-and-go seats. Can I actually not use the load leg?? And if not, which is the best way to install this seat?? Can I still use the base and rigid anchors? Thanks!

    • @safeintheseat
      @safeintheseat 13 днів тому

      You will have to check your vehicle owner's manual, but typically you cannot use the load leg. You just install with either the rigid lower anchors or the seat belt. You can use the base, but store the load leg.

    • @kalilafischer2915
      @kalilafischer2915 13 днів тому

      Thank you! I checked my vehicle's manual and there's no info about load legs at all. But looking elsewhere online, it looks like the stow-and-go seats don't allow for the use of the load leg. Unfortunate, but at least I can still use the rigid anchors. Thanks!

    Thank you for your insight on traveling with car seats! I have a 4 1/2 Year Old who is 41”, 38 Lbs. I'm having a tough time deciding between the Evenflo Maestro Sport and Safety 1ˢᵗ Comfort Ride for them. Which would you go with?

    • @safeintheseat
      @safeintheseat 13 днів тому

      Whichever one you find cheaper when you go to buy it as they both last a similar amount of time for most kids. We haven't had good luck with the backless booster mode of the Comfort Ride fitting kids, so neither seat would be the last one you need. The Maestro is only good in harness mode and has 50 lbs/50" limits, but a tall harness height. While the Comfort Ride works well in both harness and high back booster mode, but has a much shorter harness height. You might want to measure the child's torso height before buying as well. The Comfort Ride has a max torso height of around 16.5" and the Maestro's is about 18." The Comfort Ride's high back booster mode can be used until a torso height of around 18.5."

    Oh my goodness I wish I would’ve found this video at least a year ago. I was literally on UA-cam looking up different car seats reviews because I was considering getting rid of it because the buckle would pinch my daughters legs every time I buckled her in and she would end up with indentations in her thighs. Thank you so much for posting this. I just adjusted it and I’m hoping this solves the problem completely.
